"It's the teacher that makes the difference, not the classroom." - Michael Morpurg
Learn-N-Play Daycare hires hardwaorking, loving, and qualified teachers to work with our children. We strive to offer our children a safe, engaging and inviting environment. Our teachers are fun loving, filled with lots of positive attitudes which will fulfill employment responsibilities with lots of energy and enthusiasm. At the same time, we expect our staff to offer and model positive behavior to the children when needed. We train our staff to use the Environmental Scale for their particular age group to do self-assessments in their classrooms.
All staff, meet the requirements of the PA Department of Human Services as it relates to their individual positions. Most of our staff have degrees in Early Childhood Education. Each of our employees has extensive experience working with children.
We require all our staff to participate annually in a minimum of twelve (12) classroom hours of training in addition to basic First Aid Training, Pediatric and Infant CPR, Fire Safety, STARS 101&102 as well as the New Employee Orientation training. In addition, we require our staff to have a Child Abuse History Clearance, Criminal History Clearance, FBI clearance, National Sex Offender Clearance, and a bi-annual physical and TB shot. Learn-N-Play encourages continuing education and participates in the TEACH program.
